Ruth Ann Peters 96 of Ashland, KY formerly of Louisa went home to be with the Lord on Saturday December 11, 2021, following a brief illness.

Ruth was born July 13, 1925, at Huntington, WV the daughter of the late Marion C. and Edna Ellen Riddle Fizer. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Jarret Peters.

Ruth was a homemaker, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and a longtime member of the First Baptist Church Louisa.

Survivors include her son Bill Peters and wife Cristy; granddaughters Kori Peters (Alex Alvarez) of Ashland, KY, Lindsey Kelley (Travis) of Ironton, Ohio, and Jessica Diamond (Wesley) of Ashland, KY; great grandchildren Jarret Daniel, Macy Diamond, Jaxton Diamond, and Evelyn Kelley; a sister Mildred Fizer; two nieces, Joy Beth (Chris) Blatt of Dawsonville, GA and Ann (Larry) Brandt of Bounton Beach, FL.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday December 15th at 1:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home with Bro. Wesley Diamond officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery Louisa, KY. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday December 14th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home.
